Cape Coast Technical University is committed to making quality education accessible to all qualified students, regardless of their financial circumstances. We offer various scholarship and financial aid programs to support deserving students in achieving their academic goals.

Our financial aid programs are designed to recognize academic excellence, support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and encourage diversity in our student body. We work closely with government agencies, private organizations, and international partners to expand funding opportunities for our students.

Types of Financial Support

Merit-Based Scholarships

Merit-based scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance. These scholarships recognize and reward academic excellence and encourage continued high achievement.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 (on 4.0 scale) or equivalent
  • Outstanding performance in WASSCE or equivalent examinations
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and extracurricular involvement
  • Maintain academic performance to renew scholarship

Coverage:

  • Full or partial tuition fee coverage
  • Renewable annually based on academic performance
  • Available for all program levels (undergraduate and postgraduate)

Application Process:

Merit-based scholarships are typically awarded automatically based on admission application. However, students may also apply separately by submitting:

Need-Based Financial Aid

Need-based financial aid is designed to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate financial need and academic potential.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Demonstrated financial need through comprehensive assessment
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 or equivalent
  • Ghanaian citizenship or legal residency
  • Completed financial aid application with supporting documents

Coverage:

  • Partial to full tuition fee support
  • May include living allowance for extreme cases

Work-Study Programs

CCTU offers work-study opportunities that allow students to work part-time on campus while studying. These positions provide:

Work-study positions are typically awarded based on financial need and academic standing. Applications are accepted at the beginning of each academic year.
