Admission Requirements
Master's Programs
- A good first degree (minimum Second Class Lower Division) from a recognized university
- Official academic transcripts from all previous institutions
- Two academic or professional references
- Statement of purpose outlining research interests and career goals
- Curriculum vitae or resume
- English language proficiency certificate (for non-English speaking countries)
- Completed application form and payment of application fee
PhD Programs
- Master's degree in a relevant field from a recognized university
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent in master's program
- Detailed research proposal (3-5 pages) outlining intended research area
- Three academic references, including at least one from master's supervisor
- Evidence of research experience or publications (preferred)
- Interview with potential supervisor and department
- Completed application form and payment of application fee
Program Structure
Master's Programs
Master's programs at CCTU are offered in two formats:
- Coursework & Thesis: Combination of coursework and research thesis (18-24 months)
- Coursework Only: Advanced coursework with project work (12-18 months)
PhD Programs
PhD programs are research-intensive and typically require:
- Minimum duration of 3 years (full-time) or 4-5 years (part-time)
- Original research contributing to knowledge in the field
- Regular progress reviews and seminars
- Dissertation defense before examination panel
